Reinforced concrete sliding walls, opening to the left or right, hinged inside or outside. These walls can be opened and closed manually or automatically. Dimensions according to building and requirements. Thickness up to 70 cm depending on requirements.
These sliding walls are often used for larger shelters such as underground car parks, accessible shelters, etc.
Blast protection or Explosion protection valves (ESV) are used for a pressure resistant closrue of air inlets and outlets in NBC shelters, command centres, headquarters etc. Blast protection valves are often used in other exposed buildings where a increased protection is required. (Nuclear power plants, command centers etc.) The ESV protects people and installation against sudden blast waves and the subsequent suction pressure which are the effects of nuclear and conventional explosions.
Air intake and outlets have to be protected against incoming pressure waves with explosion protection valves. Modern valves have a degree of protection of 3 to 40 bar reflected pressure. The closing times are generally shorter than 2 milliseconds. The Swiss regulations regulate the test requirements in great detail. The products are thoroughly tested by the Spiez laboratory, including in practical tests.
